Essential oil glass bottle selection and maintenance points
1. Key to purchase
Material certification: Make sure the glass is food-grade or pharmaceutical grade, and the accessories (e.g. dropper, inner stopper) are FDA or EU REACH certified to avoid plasticizer migration.
Sealing test: Shake the bottle upside down and observe whether the bottle leaks; whether the dropper is inserted and removed smoothly without jamming or loosening.
Light avoidance level: dark brown glass UV blocking rate > 90%, dark green > 80%, blue > 70%, can be selected according to the light sensitivity of essential oils (such as bergamot essential oil must be used in dark brown bottle).
2. Use and Maintenance
Cleaning Method: Wipe the inner wall with alcohol cotton pads, avoid using detergents (residue may affect the quality of essential oils), and let it dry before bottling.
Storage environment: Place in a cool and dry place (temperature <25℃, humidity <60%), away from radiators or direct sunlight, it is recommended to use up within 6 months after opening.
Disposal: Glass material can be recycled, accessories (plastic pump head, cork) need to be classified and discarded to avoid environmental pollution.
Essential oil glass bottles solve the problems of volatilization, oxidation, and access precision in the storage of essential oils through the combination of “light-avoiding material + precision fittings + professional shape”, from 1ml trial to 100ml storage bottles, covering the whole range of scenarios from personal care to professional aromatherapy needs. When choosing, it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of essential oils (photosensitivity, volatility), usage scenarios (self-use / gift / professional blending) and the function of the accessories, in order to maximize the preservation of the activity and quality of essential oils.
